Vauxhall dealerships across Kent, Surrey and Sussex will be offering customers big discounts on new models from midday March 25 until midday March 26.

The deal will help squeeze last minute registrations out for Vauxhall in the important plate-change month of March, with 40 dealers staying open until midnight on March 25.

The strategy hopes to build on Vauxhall’s aggressive push for volume which saw it register the most cars in February, at 9,812 units, a 23.42% increase year-on-year and a 15.47% market share in the UK.

Vauxhall hasn’t detailed the exact amounts that will be discounted, but it will be cutting prices over the 24 hour period on the new Corsa, Astra, Insignia and Meriva.

A spokesman for Vauxhall said: "It's up to dealers how they package all their current incentives across the model range."

Duncan Aldred, managing director of Vauxhall, said: “These discounts highlight our commitment to offering customers the best value on our products.

“In these austere times Vauxhall aims to meet our customer’s needs of value and reliability; sales like this provide low prices for the same quality vehicles which all come with the Vauxhall Lifetime Warranty.”
