A sales executive from Buckfastleigh is celebrating after winning an exclusive annual award, for the third time.

Kate Emery, who works at Newton Abbot’s Volkswagen retailer, Murray, was presented with the prize of sales executive of the year for the Murray group, having won the award in 2008 and 2009.

Emery beat 16 other sales executives to win the award, selling over 200 cars in 2010.

She said: “I thoroughly enjoy my job, and by winning this award I think I’ve proved that women who work in the motor industry are just as knowledgeable as men and offer a brilliant service.

“Customer satisfaction is my main priority, as without customers you have no business.”

Murray Volkswagen’s sales manager, David Lay, said: “Kate clearly deserves this award, but overall it shows sales staff at Murray Volkswagen provide customers with a service they appreciate.

“In the current economic climate, it’s vital for businesses to ensure consumers are pleased with the service they receive.”

Murray Volkswagen has dealerships in Plymouth and Newton Abbot.
