Commercial Clutch Services (CCS) has been saved from administration after being sold to HGV Direct, saving all eight employees from redundancy.

CCS, headquartered in Aston, Birmingham, focused on sales of spare parts for the commercial vehicle market. The company, initially established in 1999, went into administration on April 28.

John Whitfield, partner at restructuring and turnaround firm MCR, said: “The company fell into administration due to declining sales and pressures on its cash flow.

“However, MCR has worked closely with a number of companies in the market and rapidly found a buyer, which has been able to bring with it the benefits of scale. We are delighted with the outcome as it has protected both jobs and customers alike.”

HGV Direct is based in Ashbourne in Derbyshire. The company, which has depots in the East Midlands and the North West, sells a range of product lines including truck and trailer hardware.
