The former chairman of Pendragon has been the victim of a knifepoint robbery at his home.

Sir Nigel Rudd, who stepped down as chairman of the UK's biggest dealer group last October, was robbed as he and his wife returned to their home in London's Belgravia.

The thieves forced him at knifepoint to open a safe and stole around £50,000 of jewellery, reports the Daily Mail.

Rudd served as Pendragon's chairman for more than 20 years.
