Mercedes-Benz will launch its new SLS AMG roadster in the UK in November and it is likely to be priced above £170,000.

A UK price and specification is yet to be confirmed, but the new model is priced from €195,160 in Europe.

The new model features a 6.3-litre V8 engine with an output of 571bhp and 650 newton metres of torque, linked to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. 0-62mph can be reached in 3.8 seconds and the top speed for the SLS roadster is electronically limited to 196mph.

The fabric soft top can be opened and closed in 11 seconds while on the move at up to 30mph. The boot capacity is 173 litres with the roof either open or closed in comparison with its gull wing doored sister model the SLS AMG Coupé which has a boot space of 176 litres.
