Family-run Budgen Motors has appointed David Hare as its new group finance director.

Hare has previously worked for Muller Dairy at Market Drayton, Grampian Country Food Group, Dairy Farmers of Britain and UNIQ and will now help the dealer group with its expansion plans.

Hare said: “This is a very exciting prospect and my brief is to support the company’s ambitious growth programme over the coming years and ensure that a fully fit for function finance and administration process is in place to underpin such development.”

Budgen group managing director Peter Watts said: “Hare’s expertise will give us the support we need to continue our planned growth strategy and we are already developing some exciting projects for the short term, so he will be working closely with me and the team to ensure that we achieve them on time and to budget.”

Budgen has Peugeot, Alfa Romeo and Citroen dealerships in Shrewsbury and Telford.
