A Redditch sales executive has received a national Unsung Hero award after delivering exceptional customer service.

Richard Goode, who works for Redditch Volkswagen, is just one of five winners who have been recognised by Volkswagen UK for going the extra mile for customers.

Goode, who joined the Volkswagen dealership in 2010, was acknowledged for not only going the extra mile for customers but quite literally driving up to 780 miles in a week, to deliver customers’ cars.

The new service award, organised by Volkswagen UK, is aimed at recognising individuals from the 7,000 people in its retailer network that go over and above the call of duty for customers as part of their normal day-to-day job.

Individuals were nominated by their colleagues. The winners were decided by a group of impartial Volkswagen customers, based on the merit of each testimonial.
