Gravells, the west Wales dealer group, has doubled the size of its Swansea Kia garage by acquiring the adjoining premises in Kingsway.

Jonathan Gravell, Gravells managing director, said: “We have built a strong Kia dealership in Swansea but were limited in the display of used cars, by acquiring the former Dewhirst premises we will now be able to display undercover some 50 used cars.

Gravells was founded in 1932 by the late Tom Gravell, who borrowed £15 to start his business.

Gravells is now the oldest Renault dealer in the UK having started with Renault in 1954 and recently opened a new £3 million pound garage for Renault sales and servicing. The group has four dealerships in Wales, as well as its own bodyshop business.
