Staff at Skoda UK recently put a different kind of ‘drive’ to the test, as they pulled out their nine-irons and hosted its inaugural golf tournament.
The team at ŠKODA UK invited retailer fleet customers, contract hire and leasing company customers and end user customers to take part in four regional golf tournaments across the UK, culminating in a grand final at The St Andrews Golf Club.
Eight teams of four took part in the regional heats, held at Hexham Golf Club, Little Aston Golf Club, the London Club and The Manor House Golf Club, with the winning four teams going on to tee off at the final.
Following a closely-fought competition, the team from Winchester Skoda emerged victorious.
Martin Burke, Skoda UK's head of fleet sales, said: “I’m delighted that so many of our customers were able to take part in our first golf tournament – there was a great response to the event and we’ve had some fantastic feedback.
"It was a great opportunity to get to know our customers better and we’re all looking forward to the next tournament!”
