A Saab dealership has assured customers it is business as usual after a fire damaged its workshop on Wednesday morning.

More than 20 firefighters tackled the blaze at Bond Street Saab in Leicester, after a passer-by raised the alarm to the fire on the three-storey building at 6.10am.

Several vehicles and items of workshop equipment were damaged in the fire. No-one was hurt.

Dealer principal David Barre posted a message on its website stating "considerable damage" had been caused but the team was continuing in a "business as usual manner" despite the difficult times for all the staff.
