Fisker Automotive is displaying its Karma luxury car at Harrods in Knightsbridge, London.

The partnership will run throughout Harrods’ winter sale period until February 4.

Henrik Fisker, co-founder and CEO of Fisker Automotive, said: “Harrods is one of the most prestigious retail sites in the world, which is perfect for our car.

“The landmark store attracts hundreds of thousands of customers from all over the world during January.”

The Karma is powered by a combination of electric drive and petrol. It can reach 0-62mph in 6.2 seconds and has tailpipe CO2 emissions of 51g/km and is capable of 112mpg.

Prospective customers visiting Harrods will be able to take a tour of the vehicle, offered the chance to virtually configure their own model and put in touch with their nearest dealership to arrange a test drive.

The 2012 Fisker Karma is already on sale in the United States, priced from £66,600, and will be available at dealerships internationally in the coming weeks.

Harrods owner Qatar Holding is also a shareholder in Fisker Automotive Inc.
