Hyundai recruited 29 dealers in 2011 expanding its network coverage to 152 sites across the UK.

Twelve of the new dealerships are with groups within the AM100.

Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai Motor UK president and chief executive, said: "The UK is a rapidly growing market for Hyundai and having on board the right franchises is integral to the further development of our brand.

"The growth of the network will help us to deliver the best level of service to our customers."

Whitehorn said the brand now has a broad spread of dealerships from Inverness to Truro and it is planning to add more dealerships to the network this year.

He said: "We have also recently invested in a training facility here in the UK to ensure a consistent level of service across all the dealership disciplines.

"Add this to the best product line-up in the Company’s history, we believe that we have one of the best customer offerings in the marketplace at present."
