Harwoods Group reports increased finance sales and repeat custom since installing web-based software which provides information about existing customers who are eligible to upgrade into a new or newer vehicle without altering their monthly payment.

Neil Peet, group finance and insurance manager for Harwoods Group, said: “We have had the Chrysalis Renewal Manager system from Chrysalis-Solmotive software for around two years now and have seen an increase in sales.

“At one site we identified 58 customers through the system and 44 of those purchased a vehicle. It enables us to pick out customers that fit a particular manufacturer offer or model.”

Paul Bennett, sales and marketing director at Chrysalis Solmotive, added: “Too many retailers miss the optimum point for recontact and as a result the customer will begin to think about other brands.

“Dealers need to marry a customer’s purchase cycle with a viable proposal well ahead of their contracted end date.”
