Saab's administrators have received multiple bids from 14 parties to acquire the remaining assets of the Swedish brand.

BMW is believed to be interested and the latest insider news reveals Volvo as another bidder interested in acquiring manufacture ring assets and test equipment.

A spokesman at Volvo refused to pass comment, but industry insiders told Svergies Radio Volvo had put a bid forward.

Negotiations are still on-going with several parties over a sale.

Other parties interested in acquiring Saab assets include Chinese carmaker Youngman, Indian commercial utility vehicles manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra and Turkish private equity firm Brightwell Holdings.
