David Scotland is to leave Inchcape's board in May after seven years as a non-executive director.

Scotland has served as chair of its corporate responsibility committee and a member of its audit committee during his service.

He will step down at Inchcape's AGM on May 10.

Ken Hanna, the motor retail group's chairman, said:"During the seven years that David has been with the group he has brought a unique perspective and has helped us develop and execute on our strategy globally.

"We have valued David's contribution to the Board and in particular to the Group's approach to its retail business over many years and wish him every success in the future."
