Motor Codes, which operates the Office of Fair Trading-backed codes of practice for the motor industry, has revealed its ‘20 most trusted garages in the UK’.

Designed to identify repairers that offer consistently good customer service, the 2012 Garage of the Year contest was based on feedback from over 13,500 service and repair customers – twice as many voters as the year before.

The top 20 represents motorists’ favourite large and small businesses across 10 regions.

Motor Codes managing director, Chris Mason, commented: “Garage of the Year gives people a formal way of showing their appreciation, at the same time as letting other motorists know where to find the garage good guys.”

The 20 regional finalists will now have their votes and customer feedback analysed by a panel of motoring experts including The Sun’s Ken Gibson and What Car? consumer editor Emma Butcher.
