Peugeot to simplify model naming strategy

Peugeot is simplifying its naming strategy for its models with all models now ending in either a 1 or 8 for future products.

The new naming strategy means future Peugeot models won't keep adding numbers as future generations come along and follows on from its launch of a new Chinese model called the 301.

Peugeot is simplifying its naming strategy for its models with all models now ending in either a 1 or 8 for future products.

Models ending with 1 will represent value for money models that fulfills customer expectations centred around practicality of use, versatility and vehicle requirements. Models ending in 8 like the 208, 308 and 5008 will keep their name when they are renewed with next generation models.

Peugeot will keep certain elements of the naming system including the first digit which represents the segment size of the model and the central zero.
