Essex Auto Group is using Autorola’s used car data feed to offer its ready to retail stock to up to 10,000 additional online trade buyers, without moving the vehicles from its forecourts.

The rationale for linking with “Europe’s largest online remarketing company” was to improve used vehicle stock turn throughout the year, but particularly in the new plate months of March and September.

Autorola’s data feed can automatically upload stock on a daily basis from most major dealer management systems (DMS).

However, Essex Auto Group’s group used car manager, Tim Read, chooses to manually upload certain vehicles to the platform at the end of each day.

“The practicality and efficiency of the data feed is really helpful and has integrated well with our DMS,” he said.

“It is a great system for getting rid of ageing vehicles, but is also a big help for managing stock turn.

“March and September are always busy months, and it means we are able to upload stock for sale to make space for the new part exchanges coming in.”
