Mercedes-Benz says its new CLS Shooting Brake will create a new sector by combining five seats and a large load space with sleek styling.

Priced from £49,360 OTR, for the CLS 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Shooting Brake, the most expensive model will be the 5,461cc, 8-cylinder CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake Petrol, costing £83,030.

Both the CLS Shooting Brake and CLS AMG Sport Shooting Brake model lines include powered tailgate, split/fold rear seats and self-levelling rear air suspension.

The cargo space measures up to 1,550 litres and the impressive standard equipment list includes visible exhaust pipes, DAB, leather upholstery, Bi-Xenon headlights and 18” alloy wheels.

The CLS Shooting Brake AMG Sport offers full LED headlights with Intelligent Light System, AMG bodystyling and sports suspension and brakes.

Optional extras include privacy glass (£365), aluminium rails (£870) and a ‘designo’ cherry wood load compartment with black inlays (£4,030).

It will be available to order from mid-September, with the first UK deliveries due in November.
