Graham Macdonald has been promoted from CEO of Caterham Cars to CEO of the entire Caterham Group.

His remit is ‘to oversee the continuing growth and integration of the component parts of the Group’.

From 1 November, the heads of Caterham Cars, Caterham F1, Caterham Technology & Innovation and Caterham Composites will all report into Macdonald.

Caterham recently unveiled its first new road model for 19 years, the AeroSeven Concept.

It has plans for SUV and city models, and is branching out into the marine, airline, bicycle and motorcycle markets.

Co-Chairman, Tony Fernandes, said: “In the short time that Graham has been at the helm of Caterham Cars he has been a dynamic and steadfast leader.

“His experience and dedication is exactly what we need to drive the Group forward.”

Macdonald commented: “Caterham is going through a revolution in terms of its brand proposition and status, so to be at the forefront of that is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
