British Car Auctions (BCA) has announced the acquisition of NKL Automotive Ltd, the Yorkshire-based vehicle logistics and storage specialist, for an undisclosed sum.

NKL will become part of BCA Logistics.

NKL was established in 2002 by Nick and Joy Laister. They both join BCA Logistics along with around 200 drivers and operational staff.

BCA says the move consolidates its position as the ‘leading provider of single vehicle collection inspection and delivery in the UK market’.

BCA Logistics director Jonathan Higham commented: “We are delighted to welcome NKL Automotive into BCA and look forward to integrating the high quality range of services they offer to both new and existing customers.

“BCA Logistics handles over a quarter of a million vehicle moves annually. This acquisition further enhances the range and flexibility of services we can offer.”

BCA Logistics will also utilise NKL’s facility at Goole to offer additional storage and refurbishment services.
