Land Rover dealership bought by Ridgeway Group

Ridgeway Group, the premium brand car dealer in the south of England, has secured its first Land Rover franchise.

It has acquired the Land Rover site located in Cumnor, Oxford from Hartwell for an undisclosed sum.

All staff formerly employed by Hartwell Land Rover Oxford will transfer to Ridgeway (effective 30 May 2013) – increasing the company’s workforce to over 1,100 employees.

The site will be rebranded as Ridgeway Land Rover.

John O’Hanlon, Ridgeway Group’s chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have the Land Rover marque in the Ridgeway stable and in the month that the brand marked its 65th anniversary”.

He added “The range is diverse, appealing and now luxury with the stunning Evoque and new Sport models – widening the appeal of Land Rover and Range Rover to a new audience.

"The brand is in such a strong position and we look forward to representing such a respected motor manufacturer in a territory we know well”.

Ridgeway already represents Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini and Skoda in Oxfordshire and Hampshire.
