Vauxhall's Adam city car is now compatible with Apple's iPhone Siri voice command system.
The Siri Eyes Free iPhone system will be included on all Adams which have already bought the £275 IntelliLink option and owners that have already bought Vauxhall's city car with that option will get a free upgrade to include the system if they wish.
Using a steering wheel-mounted button, customers with a compatible iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 running iOS 6 can direct Siri Eyes Free to perform a number of tasks.
Vauxhall Adam driver can use voice commands through Siri to:
- Make voice-activated, hands-free calls to contacts on their iPhone
- Play chosen songs in their iTunes libraries without having to spend time scrolling through menus
- Listen to, or compose and send an iMessage, text message or mail to a phone number or anyone in saved contacts
- Access calendar and add appointments, read incoming notifications as well as configuration for alarm and notification settings
- Siri also answers simple questions such as sports game scores, weather or the dates of national holidays
