A Lancashire car dealership has been named Nissan’s UK sales retailer of the year for the fourth year in a row at an award ceremony in Slovakia.
Chorley Nissan took the title for the outstanding performance of its sales team in the past 12 months.
Also, Wessex Group's centre in Cardiff became the first in Wales to win two awards at the ceremony.
Both business were in competition with 200 UK retailers.
The Chorley dealership claimed the award after outperforming its counterparts across the UK against a number of key measures and targets.
Dealer principal Pauline Turner attributed the dealership’s success to its long-serving and dedicated team.
The team includes sales advisor Patrick Holmes, who’s been with the dealership for almost a quarter of a century, and receptionist Jean Roscoe who has been there for than a decade.
The presentation took place at Nissan’s annual brand event in Bratislava.
Led by general manager Julian Pendleton, the six-strong sales team at Chorley Nissan operates from a five-car showroom.
The dealership is part of Chorley Group, a five-site Nissan group in the north west.
Wessex Garages won the customer quality retailer of the year award and overall retailer of the year award. The group is privately owned and has outlets in Bristol, Cardiff, Gloucester and Newport.
Gareth Howells, general manager of the dealership, said: “We are extremely proud to have won the awards especially since we are the first Welsh dealership to ever win one.
“The customer quality award is given to the dealership that has had consistently high levels of customer satisfaction across its Sales and Service departments. Giving excellent customer service is something we strive for at Wessex Garages so it is great to have received this award.
“The overall retailer of the year is awarded to the dealership with the best result in a number of criteria, including customer service, meeting sales objectives on new and used cars and parts, trade and accessory performance.
