Kia has revealed another teaser image of its new 2+2 sports car ahead of the Detroit Motor Show in January.

The Korean brand revealed the first teaser before the Christmas break and has now revealed some more details about the GT4 Stinger concept.

Designed at Kia’s American Design Center in California, the GT4 Stinger sports the latest version of Kia’s ‘Tiger Nose’ grille. The Stinger concept is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine which drives 315bhp to the rear wheels.

Paul Philpott, Kia UK president and chief executive, explained to AM before that the brand was looking to complete its core model range with the new Carens, which would then make way for the brand to look at producing niche models.

Kia has been rumoured to be working on a rival to the MX-5 rival for some time now and there have been recent hints at a sports model with the Provo, Niro, Cub and Cross GT concepts.

Could the Stinger make it to production?
