Ford showcased the all-new Focus ST at the Paris Motor Show, today.

The global performance model offers enhanced driving dynamics, advanced new features and a powerful new diesel option.

Engine options include an 182bhp diesel that returns 67.3mpg and a 246bhp 2.0-litre EcoBoost variant delivering 41.5mpg - both with auto-start-stop technology.

Joe Bakaj, vice president, Product Development, Ford of Europe, said: "The new Focus ST delivers an even more sophisticated balance of performance, driving dynamics, refinement and style - the core of Ford's Sports Technologies DNA."

Exterior design highlights include sportier and more aggressive styling with a lower, wider stance; new dynamically sculpted bonnet with slimmer Bi-Xenon HID headlamps and rectangular fog lights and new 19-inch alloy wheels.

The sports bodykit also includes body coloured side skirts and diffuser elements either side of the exhaust, and a rear roof spoiler optimised for aerodynamic performance.

A new dark grey exterior paint colour called Stealth is introduced exclusively to the Focus ST.

It isn’t short on technology with Ford’s SYNC 2 high-resolution 8-inch colour touch screen with voice control, cross traffic alert and active city stop collision avoidance.

There are three trim levels available; ST1, ST2 and ST3 – all come with a new flat-base sport steering wheel with leather trim and a satin, chrome topped, gear lever.

Joel Piaskowski, design director, Ford of Europe, said: "Focus ST has proved very popular with Ford's performance oriented customers and the new model takes that to an even more dramatic level."

Available to order now, with deliveries expected early 2015.
