Fleet Assist, which delivers to contract hire and leasing companies a national network of more 7,000 service outlets, is to hold an open day on April 30.

The event will bring together Fleet Assist’s contract hire and leasing company customers with the franchised and independent garages servicing, maintaining and repairing their company cars and vans.

Management level attendance at the Cambridgeshire-based company’s open day will come from many of the UK’s largest vehicle leasing companies including: Agility Fleet, Alphabet, Days Contract Hire, Fleet Hire, Grosvenor Contracts Leasing, Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, JCT600 Contracts, Lex Autolease, Marshall Leasing, TCH Leasing, Tusker, Venson Automotive Solutions, Windsor Vehicle Leasing and Zenith.

Currently almost 150 garage representatives are planning to attend the open day where they will participate in group question and answer sessions with leasing company representatives and discuss key trends and operational issues, be able to have one-to-one discussions with individual leasing companies, and meet the Fleet Assist team and receive demonstrations of the company’s systems and processes during an office guided tour.

Additionally, Citroen is supporting the event with a ride and drive giving delegates a first class opportunity to drive the manufacturer’s latest models around a special local route.

Exhibiting at the Open Day will be a number of Fleet Assist’s strategic partners including oil  company Total, which will have its popular Lotus-branded F1 driving simulator on it stand, Autodata, automotive industry charity BEN, Bosch, the Institute of the Motor Industry, Rent to Repair, Thule and Vehicle Visuals.

Fleet Assist was launched more than a decade ago and has expanded to the extent that it has business partnerships with almost 30 contract hire and leasing companies collectively operating some 600,000 vehicles.

Fleet Assist delivers to contract hire and leasing companies a national network of more 7,000 service outlets without the cost and challenges of setting up and managing such an operation themselves.

Commercial director Vincent St Claire said: “This year we are focusing on the “meet the fleet” element, as feedback from our garages clearly highlights a strong desire to have increased interaction with our leasing company customers.

“The fleet market is all about partnerships and companies and their suppliers working hand-in-hand with each other to deliver an even better mutually beneficial service. Bringing together the two sides of the Fleet Assist business - our leasing company customers and our garage network - will deliver further benefits to all parties nationwide.”
