Volkswagen dealers are offering drivers a summer health check.
For £25, retailers are offering:
¦ A full 'Express' visual check
¦ Oil and washer fluid top-up
¦ Battery and alternator check (with a print out of your battery’s performance)
¦ Cooling system performance check
¦ A free safety kit or check-it kit, worth around £20 (RRP)
The safety kit comprises an easy-to-fold warning triangle, two hi-visibility vests and a first aid bag, packed in a washable fabric bag with loops for secure storage.
The check-it kit contains one litre of oil in a pouch with gloves, napkin and disposable funnels for easy top ups.
In addition, when customers book an air conditioning service along with a 'summer health check', it will cost just £99. It is recommended that the air conditioning system should be checked when your car reaches four years old and every two years thereafter.
