Mini has revealed official images and video of its new Superleggera Vision coupe concept which will be on show at the Villa d’Este Motor Show in Italy.

Mini has developed the concept in collaboration with Italian coachbuilders, Touring Superleggera.

The concept comes with an all-electric powertrain and a production model could feature the same technology used in BMW’s i3 and i8 models with EV and plug-in hybrid models.

There has been no word on whether this model will be put into production, but it could potentially replace the Mini Roadster and Coupe models in the range in time to rival the new Mazda MX-5 in 2015.
