A fire at a Surrey car workshop left one person, believed to be a customer, with serious burns.

An explosion at Ken's Autos, in Hamsey Green near Croydon, started a blaze which led to the customer being taken to the major trauma centre at St George's Hospital, Tooting.

Six fire engines tackled the blaze last week.

Ken's Autos had suffered an earlier fire in January, in which a car and part of the garage were damaged, reports the Croydon Advertiser.
