KPMG is trying to find buyers for the premises and assets of Yorkshire Nissan and SsangYong car dealership Brian Leighton Garages.

The dealership ceased trading in mid June and Howard Smith and Jonny Marston of KPMG were appointed joint administrators of the company near the end of June.

The site is a 3.56 acre freehold property which was also home to a BP petrol forecourt and Spar shop.

Howard Smith, associate restructuring partner at KPMG, said: “The Brian Leighton business experienced severe cashflow difficulties in recent months, which hindered its ability to meet its financial obligations and fund new vehicles.

“We are currently reviewing options to find buyers for the premises and assets, as well as the petrol forecourt business and Spar shop. Interested parties are encouraged to get in touch."
