Elaine Ashworth, formerly director of the AM award winning Peter Vardy Academy is launching a consultancy and training business, Automotive Business Results.

Whilst working as the academy director for Peter Vardy, she received the award this year for the AM Best Training Programme on behalf of the company.

Having spent almost three years working with Peter Vardy, Ashworth said: "I have been incredibly fortunate to have operated at the sharp end in this leading edge and highly respected business.

"I have been able to work hands on, and deliver, across a range of disciplines – training, sales process re-engineering, call centre / business centre operations, customer satisfaction and new business modelling.

"I leave the Peter Vardy Academy in great shape and I am sure it will consolidate its position as a world class resource for the company and its colleagues."

"It is important for consultancies in the automotive business to be able to demonstrate they have fresh and insightful ideas – and that they know how to implement them. That level of operational and commercial credibility is critical”.

She said the ethos of her new business will be on helping businesses to improve or create performance through people initiatives and operational processes, across sales, aftersales and management.

Ashworth (pictured, centre, receiving her AM Awards) previously ran a successful business for 13 years, Automotive People Potential. During this time, working with major car manufacturers, dealer groups and car supermarkets on small and large scale training and business development initiatives.

Her early career saw her as a general manager of a franchised dealership and group HR manager for a large Yorkshire based automotive business.

Of her new business Ashworth said “The automotive sector is going through a significant period of change and this often means that manufacturers and groups have a short term need for expertise.
"Automotive Business Results can fill that gap and support the client with the set up of new structures, designing processes or providing training and coaching solutions.”

Whilst she is heading up Automotive Business Results, she has a network of experienced and professional consultants available to support larger projects.
