Woodford Lexus in Essex has loaned former Eastenders actress Daniella Westbrook a car for a year after upsetting her on Twitter.
It came after the car dealership, part of Hills Motor Group, thanked her for following it on Twitter by sending a message back including "Do you know a good dealer?"
When Westbrook, who has been open about battling drug addiction in the past, took offence, the Lexus dealership apologised and a few days later agreed to sponsor her with a loan of a Lexus CT200h hybrid hatchback for a year.
Nahide Crisp, centre manager at Lexus Woodford, told MailOnline: 'The whole tweet and the word "dealer" was taken out of context and that there was certainly no bad intention.
'We are a family run business established since 1905. The word dealer to myself means a car dealer. I would not think of this word any other way."
Westbrook most recently starred in Channel 4 series Hollyoaks.

The loan of a Lexus for a year - that's an offer not to be sniffed at. I hope she makes sure there's no 'amp' in the boot or any 'antifreeze' under the bonnet. Would she have turned it down if offered a 'benz'?
