TekCor4 has completed the acquisition of S&P Global Mobility’s focused automotive aftersales business, Catalyst for Aftersales.

The TekCor4 business was created specifically to acquire Catalyst for Aftersales and drive the business forward with an investor team including Marco Schnabl, Alex Rimmer, Franz Wimmer, Raj Narasimhan and Ray Pope.

The management team have worked across brands like BMW, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Mercedes and Volkswagen.

The TekCor4 business will offer data analytics, insights and marketing automation for OEMs and dealers.

TekCor4 said Catalyst for Aftersales already has integrations with over 1,200 franchise dealer operations, accounting for a share of 25% across the UK

All staff, data and IP of Catalyst for Aftersales will be transferred in the deal.

Alex Rimmer, chief executive officer of TekCor4, said: “We see huge opportunities for this business based on the existing product and client base.

“The incoming leadership team at TekCor4 has deep software and data analytics experience across a broad range of industries, but importantly OEM and dealer networks.”

Franz Wimmer, chief revenue officer with TekCor4, who has previously worked at PwC and BMW Group, said there are two main areas of focus for the business in the upcoming months - business continuity and product roadmap development.
