Fix Auto UK has doubled the number of its repair centres in Northern Ireland within the space of 18 months after adding Crash Repair Saintfield to its network.

Crash Repair Saintfield – which will be known as Fix Auto Saintfield and will join the Fix Auto Lagan Side, operates from a 6,000 sq ft repair centre complete with two spraybooths and six workbays, employs seven productives and currently repairs up to 20 vehicles a week.

Founder Maurice Connor said: “…after 13 years of being on our own, we recognise we can only do and achieve so much without specific help and support which is why we have joined the network.

“Repairing vehicles to the highest standards is a given for us, but we truly believe the business has so much more potential, being part of Fix Auto UK will help us achieve our ambitions to further grow and develop.”

Ian Pugh, managing director of Fix Auto UK, said: “Maurice and his wife Jenna join the network brimming with the attributes we look for, ambition and desire to develop. They’ve instantly embraced our branding and business support we’ve been able to provide and the signs are instantly showing that Saintfield will be another exciting addition to the network.”

The business has also become the majority shareholder of Fix Auto Cheltenham after acquiring the shares previously owned by businessman Andrew Emery.

Kieran Humphries, who formed the business with his father Ray in 2009, will retain his shares and position as operations director.

It is the second repair centre established within the Fix Auto UK network in which the business has invested having taken a majority share in its Goole site in August 2018. Fix Auto UK’s group now comprises nine wholly-owned sites.
