Brindley Group will add new Chinese brand XPeng to its multi-franchise Wolverhampton showroom in August.

With this launch, Brindley now represents 10 car brands across Staffordshire and the West Midlands, including XPeng, as well as fellow new Chinese brands Omoda, Jaecoo, in addition to Hyundai, Kia, MG, Volvo, Mazda, Maxus and Honda.

Che Watson, chairman of the Brindley Group, said: “As electric vehicles continue to reshape the automotive landscape, XPeng’s arrival in the UK is perfectly timed.

“We’re proud to be at the forefront of this movement and to bring something truly innovative to the local market.”

XPeng opened order books for its G6 SUV in February this year ahead of first deliveries in March.

The new brand is establishing a network of retail partners with over 20 locations already confirmed for the UK before the end of this year.

Since entering the European market in Norway in 2021, Xpeng has launched Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and now in the UK, with plans for further expansion.

Founded in 2014, XPeng has delivered more than 620,000 EVs across global markets since launch.

In January 2025, XPeng announced two strategic partnerships with Volkswagen and BP Pulse, to not only create a super-fast charging network but also explore other services together.

At the end of 2025, Xpeng aims to expand its presence in more than 60 countries and regions.
