Jaguar Land Rover is the best place to work in corporate Britain, according to a survey of thousands of employees carried out for Bloomberg.

Sytner is also the only dealer group to be named.

The company, which has 35,000 employees in the UK – almost its entire global workforce – was ranked number one among 400 businesses surveyed that employ more than 500 people in Britain.

The top three companies in the list are Jaguar Land Rover, AstraZeneca and Harrods.

Vauxhall Motors and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars were 17th and 18th respectively in the Bloomberg Best Employers UK 2016.

Bloomberg also divided the findings into industry sectors.

Alongside the above named, included in the list of best automotive brands were Bentley Motors, Nissan, Ford, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz UK, Honda and BMW.

Dealer group Sytner came 24th amongst retail and wholesale companies. It came 171st in the overall results.

In March last year it beat household names such as American Express, McDonald's and Iceland in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For, coming second in the '25 best big companies' category.
