Seat is investing heavily in bringing its dealer network up to scratch for the corporate market.

Richard Harrison (pictured), Seat UK managing director, said: “We are helping them with their fleet capabilities which is increasing their penetration of local fleet. That will continue in 2016.”

In addition to coaching, provided by local fleet teams, Seat is also making more demonstrators available to the network.

“As we grow the number of customers, we have to make our products more accessible,” Harrison added. “Once we are on and we are positioned well, we get a natural level of demand.”

Reacting to a question about the impact and potential damage of the NOx emissions scandal last year, he said: “Our priority is to do our best by our customers. We have a plan and our dealers are well set to make it as smooth as possible from customers’ point of view.”

Seat posted strong results in January, with fleet orders at near record levels, Harrison added.
