Work is underway to transform Lincoln’s Dennis Horton Skoda showroom as part of a £1.3 million redevelopment of the site.

A 30-week program of works at the Kingsley Road business, which will see the facility’s frontage extended by 6.5m, got underway on May 23.

Skoda configurators will make use of 70 inch plasma televisions and a new canteen will also be among the additions when the project is completed, the Lincolnshire Echo reported.

Oliver Horton, director, told the newspaper that the works “will double the size of the showroom."

An additional four workshop bays used cars and an increase in space for used vehicles, from 45 to 70, will also be part of the improvements.

Dennis Horton Skoda’s Lincoln operation will remain open throughout the redevelopment works, which are expected to be completed by mid-December.
