Evans Halshaw has opened the doors of its newly-constructed Vauxhall dealership following a multi-million build which got underway in January.

Yorkshire-based business, Caddick Construction completed its work on the facility, located on the corner of Gelderd Road and Leeds City Ring Road, on time last month.

The 20,000sq-ft dealership houses a showroom, reception area, office space, workshop, valet and parts department.

The project has also achieved a Very Good BREEAM Rating through the incorporation of low energy and high efficiency lighting and high efficiency heat pumps to heat and cool the showroom.

Photovoltaics on the roof contribute to 10% of the energy requirement, and solar controlled glazing panels in the showroom minimise solar gain.

Andrew Murray, managing director at Caddick Construction, said: “We’re proud to add this Vauxhall facility to the list of state-of-the-art auto dealerships that we’ve delivered over the last few years.

“The project has been a fantastic opportunity to enhance our portfolio of automotive construction work, working once again with Pendragon, the UK’s leading automotive retailer, has been a pleasure.”

John Cooke, dealer principal at Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Leeds, said: “We’re really excited to open this new venture in Leeds, providing a state-of-the-art customer experience.

“The high quality design of the dealership mixed with cutting-edge Vauxhall models and our dedicated team of experts means we’re confident our dealership will go from strength-to-strength.”
