Grenson Motor Company will no longer open its showrooms on a Sunday, in a bid to improve the work/life balance of its employees.

The dealership, which holds Kia, Citroen, Suzuki and Mitsubishi franchises in Crewe, said that the “unusual move” won’t affect business as customers can still view cars on the forecourt and search stock online.

In a statement, the company said: “If they spot the car of their dreams, they can simply discover more details on the company’s website and make an enquiry, which the company’s professional sales advisors can follow up on Monday morning.”

Employees can also enjoy a long weekend break once every four weeks and, on Fridays, the showroom will now close one hour earlier, at 6pm.

To improve customer convenience, the after-sales department will now open earlier, from 8am, Monday to Friday. This enables customers to leave their vehicles for servicing, before they start work, giving them more flexibility.

The company has also appointed Aaron Argyle as general sales manager, bringing the four motoring marques together under his leadership.
