Barretts Honda has celebrated the reopening of its redveloped Canterbury showroom as it prepares for the arrival of new EV car models from the Japanese brand.

The dealership, located on Vauxhall Road, Canterbury, has been completely remodelled in order to give buyers room to view the vehicles on display and the electrical infrastructure of the facility has also been updated to accommodate EV charging for Honda's next-generation of electrified vehicles.

Honda will launch its new hyrbid drivetrain in the CR-V SUV, which is due to arrive in showrooms later this year, ahead of the arrival of future plug-in hybrid and EV products.

Barretts Honda’s dealer principal, Samantha Stanton, said: “Our latest investment into the refurbishment of our showroom enables us to display the Honda range in a bright and modern environment.”

The site boasts new customer facilities, such as a bigger lounge area featuring a customer information station with free Wi-Fi and exclusive children’s zone.

“With the exciting additions to the range planned for 2018 and 2019, this provides our customers with an enhanced experience to view the Honda range and we very much look forward to welcoming visitors, both old and new, in the coming months,” said Stanton.

Barretts Honda celebrated the opening of its new showroom with an official ceremony on July 26.

Honda Heritage was in attendance, showcasing a selection of vehicles, along with Honda memorabilia.
