Westover Group is preparing for the official opening of its new £15 million Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Christchurch.

Built in place of the former Land Rover showroom on Bailey Drive, Christchurch, the new Dual Arch Concept JLR facility will officially open to customers on Saturday (February 23).

The opening of the new site follows last May’s opening of Westover’s new £7.5m Jaguar Land Rover service centre on Bailey Drive, Christchurch.

Housing more than 100 approved used cars, as well as the complete line up of new vehicles, the new site delivers a complimentary barista bar, electric vehicle charging facility, relaxed seating areas with free Wi-Fi, interactive colour and trim display, brand heritage and merchandise area, and dedicated areas for vehicle handover as well as improved parking.

Andy Grant, brand director for Westover Jaguar Land Rover, said: “We have also welcomed a number of new parking assistants, additional centre hosts and additional service and sales advisors to the Westover team.”

Paul Dillon, managing director for Westover Group, said: “The opening of the brand new Jaguar Land Rover Dual Arch facility is a momentous one for the Westover Group.

“We are continually working round the clock to find ways of improving and reinvesting into the company to ensure that our customers are always at the forefront of everything we do.

“We’d like to express our sincerest thanks to the Knights Brown construction team who worked tirelessly to get the facility completed on time. We really do feel that we will bring customers a retail experience like no other.”

Kevin Valentine, divisional director for Knights Brown, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Westover throughout this project and the earlier After Care Facility.

“We have all been dedicated to delivering the Dual Arch facility on time and to a notably high quality standard.”

Westover Group is currently looking to recruit a further two sales executives to support its sales at the new Christchurch JLR dealership.

Standing on a three-acre plot, it provides service, MOT and general aftersales support to Jaguar and Land Rover owners in the Dorset and Christchurch area by boosting the group's capacity by 100%.

Alongside its 29 vehicle bays, the facility also holds two EV bays and 172 dedicated customer spaces in the compound area, making it the largest JLR aftersales facility aside from its own operation in Coventry.

Speaking shortly after its opening, Westover Group’s operational director, Peter Walker, said: “We’re making a significant investment in both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in Dorset and we’re really proud that phase one of our £12 million redevelopment project for the brands is now complete.

“We have a spectacular workshop that future-proofs our facilities and puts us way ahead of the competition in terms of the level and efficiency of service we can offer our customers.

“Our technicians were almost speechless when they first saw the finished workshop! We hope all our visitors will be equally impressed.”
