Motorline Nissan will grow its presence in Reading with the opening of its new, purpose-built car showroom in the town this week.

The new dealership replaces Motorline Nissan Reading’s temporary Bath Road showroom, which it has operated from since taking over the town’s Nissan franchise three years ago.

It strengthens the group’s triangle of easily accessible Nissan dealerships in Berkshire and Oxfordshire, which encompass sites in Oxford and Newbury as well as Reading.

The new facility will be the flagship of the group’s nine Nissan dealerships throughout the Midlands and South East.

Motorline Nissan’s general manager, Gareth Williams, said: “Ever since Motorline began representing Nissan in Reading, it has always been our strategy to build a state-of-the-art facility.

"As a group, we are known for investing in dealerships that give our customers a truly memorable brand experience and the Reading facility will be amongst the very best we operate."

Occupying a prime position on Imperial Way, close to links with the M4 and A33, the new dealership represents a seven-figure investment by Motorline.

It has been built from the ground-up, the area previously being brownfield land which Motorline has completely redeveloped.

Such is the size of the new dealership that Motorline Nissan Reading has grown its team from 19 to 34 in preparation.

The larger 11-car showroom, will benefit from a dedicated handover area and an advanced workshop with 10 service ramps, plus an additional MoT test bay.

Outside, there will be room to display 60 approved used vehicles, EV charging points, dedicated valeting bays and 50 customer parking spaces.

Williams said: “We have far outgrown our existing site and our new dealership will enable us to deliver an even better service.

"Reading is a great place to be – the economy is thriving – and we are really looking forward to playing a part in the area’s growth and introducing the Nissan range to even more of the region’s drivers when we open our doors in February.”
