Car dealer Sinclair Group is about to start a £250,000 refurbishment at its Volkswagen centre in Bridgend.

The aim is to improve customer experience.

The work, which should take around 10 weeks and won't mean closure of the site, will deliver a new showroom with improved customer facilities and will feature electrical charging points for the new Volkswagen electric and hybrid vehicles.

Group operations manager Clive Williams said: "These are very exciting times for Volkswagen and the Sinclair Group, we are all really looking forward to the redevelopment. The showroom will be stunning.

“The work is being carried out by our building department and local craftsmen.”

As part of the redevelopment, Sinclair Volkswagen has recently expanded its sales and aftersales teams to prepare for the additional business that the refurbished showroom will create.

“Both our sales and aftersales teams will operate from portable buildings sited on our forecourt during the construction period. We are
pleased the upgrade of our facilities will also cater for the growing Volkswagen electric and hybrid range which we are sure our customers will find useful.”

During the refurbishment there will be limited ‘waiting service appointments’, but Sinclair will be offering local lifts, courtesy cars and collection and delivery of vehicles.
