A temporary electric vehicle (EV) showroom at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth will aim to help local drivers make the switch to electric mobility.

This Portsmouth event between 18-22 June, is one of two pop-up EV showcases organised by Hendy and Ford’s ‘Go Electric’ campaign, with a second event planned for West Quay, Southampton between 23-27 June.

Organised by Ford UK as part of its Go Electric campaign, the event will also offer test drives of some of Ford’s latest EV models such as the compact Puma Gen-E SUV, the Explorer SUV, the all-new Capri, and the Mustang Mach-E SUV.

Drivers aged 21 and over can take part in an accompanied 10-mile test route designed to showcase the capabilities of the vehicles and guide participants on optimising their electric driving experience.

As an added incentive, anyone who completes a test drive in the Ford Explorer will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a brand-new Ford All-Electric Explorer Premium RWD Extended Range, valued at over £55,000.

Visitors to the bespoke showroom will be able to speak with Ford ambassadors, who will provide expert advice on EV ownership, dispel common myths, and encourage greater adoption of electric vehicles.

Hendy Group operates over 60 sites representing 23 brands, including more than 15 locations offering new EVs.
