Cooper Solutions Ltd has launched a new mobile tool to optimise appraisal processes, through its online trade auction platform FullAuction.

The new tool is designed for sales executives to electronically complete appraisals using mobile or tablet devices, before enabling sales managers to value the car.

You can also remarket trade vehicles.

Managing director at automotive software specialists Cooper Solutions Ltd, Barry Cooper (pictured), said: “The application transforms the appraisal process for sales executives and management.

“Not only is this the end of paper appraisals, it’s the beginning of quicker, more consistent and accurate appraisals.

“The more we investigated current practices with our customers whilst developing the application, the more we realised this is a process requiring a radical overhaul.

“Customer perception of paper appraisals is that it detracts from the brand values of the dealer or the manufacturer they represent. Dealers now want to do as much as possible electronically to drive their efficiencies.

“Dealerships piloting the new software have been hugely positive about the impact it has had on productivity, accuracy and administrative processes and we’re now rolling it out across our network of clients.”

L&L Automotive Mercedes-Benz group was among the first to use the appraisal tool; used car controller at Mercedes-Benz of Hertford John Thompson said: “The new system enables a much quicker turnaround of appraising vehicles, and is easy for the team to access records on the database. It is working extremely well for us.”

Mathew Hall, of MSH Ltd, was one of the recent successful bidders. He said: “As a regular user of FullAuction I have to say that now dealers are using the appraisal tool, descriptions are of superior quality and as I result I can bid with even greater confidence.”
