Former GForces chief executive Giles Smith is set to step aside from his role as Automotive Transformation Group chief product officer following the appointment of Anson Moniz.

Smith will remain on the board of ATG after two years with the group formed through a merger of automotive ecommerce specialists GForces and Autofutura.

ATG’s current product director Moniz will become Automotive Transformation Group’s new CPO.

Moniz has been with the organisation for seven years as part of 21 years in the automotive industry. 

ATG said that Smith would continue to work closely with Moniz and newly-appointed chief executive Tim Smith to build upon their strong executive team and company-wide vision.

“He has played an integral role in the development of our newly launched NetDirector Digital Retailing Suite, and during his 20-plus years within the automotive industry, has established an exceptional understanding of technology and how this can help both consumers and retailers adapt to the ever-changing landscape of automotive retail.
