The third Innovation Lab from BMW Group Financial Services UK is looking for applications from start-ups with ideas that will positively disrupt the wider motor finance industry.

Run in collaboration with corporate innovation specialist L Marks, this third Innovation Lab is hoped to build on the success of previous ones, which led to partnerships with early-stage businesses such as Wrisk and Drover.

This year the lab seeks firms which could help reimagine products under the theme of 'Embracing the new curve of individual premium mobility', but BMW Group FS also welcomes pioneering and transformative ideas in its 'wildcard' category.

One or two start-ups will be selected from the applicants to join the lab in a series of 'sprints' that address some pre-defined business challenges and opportunities.

Applications close on February 9, 2020. Visit www.bmwinnovationlab.co.uk to apply.

The company said: "BMW Group Financial Services UK is looking for innovative solutions that will positively disrupt the wider automotive finance industry and enhance its customer offering.

"Successful startups will receive dedicated mentorship from the senior management, a collaborative working environment at the company's UK head office in Farnborough, and the opportunity to test their solutions in live customer environments.

"In addition to working with a leading brand, the early-stage companies will also be provided with scale up advice from external subject matter experts."

Applications for the additional categories, 'Fostering a unified, customer-led, internal transformation' and 'Automotive mobility data insights, analytics and machine learning', will begin on April 6.
