Chery UK has confirmed the Tiggo 7 as its second SUV for the UK market which will go on sale later this summer with a starting price of £24,995 OTR for the petrol version and £29,995 OTR for the hybrid.
Backed by a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, the five-seater compact crossover will be offered in two trim levels - Aspire and Summit.
The launch follows the UK debut of Chery’s sister brands, Omoda and Jaecoo, which together captured a 2% market share in June after just nine months of operations.
The Chery Tiggo 7 offers a choice of two proven powertrains: the 1.6-litre TDGI petrol with 147 PS and 275 Nm torque, 0–62 mph in 9.4 seconds and the Super Hybrid PHEV, delivering a combined 745-mile WLTP range, including 56 EV-only miles, 0–62 mph in 8.5 seconds, and 23 g/km CO₂ emissions.
The Super Hybrid version includes fast-charging (30–80% in 20 minutes), self-charging capabilities, and an 8-year battery warranty.
Inside, the Aspire trim includes dual-zone air-con, adaptive cruise control, a cooled wireless charger, six-speaker SONY system and a curved dual 12.3-inch screen setup. The top-tier Summit model adds ventilated seats, an eight-speaker SONY system, heated steering wheel, hands-free tailgate, puddle lamps and more.
Farrell Hsu, deputy country director, Chery UK, said: “Our research shows that customers are increasingly seeking efficient, well-equipped alternatives in the SUV market - and the Chery Tiggo 7 delivers exactly that, combining impressive efficiency with exceptional value and a bold, modern design.”
Last week, Chery said it was making its UK market debut with the seven-seat SUV Chery Tiggo 8 Super Hybrid.
